Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the draft laws titled Chittagong Development Authority-2016 adding new provisions of implementation of building code in the cabinet meeting on Monday .
The main features of the new CDA laws include punishment of the officials who involves with the business of CDA plots with other organizations and illegal encroachment of CDA land .
The penalty for this offense fixed from Tk.5 lakh to 10 lakh with 2 years imprisonment . The master plan violators will be fined with Tk.10 lakh also included in the new provision of law. Prime Minister presided the cabinet meeting, a sources of CDA said yesterday.
