Chattogram City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin said, City Corporation has been working for the wellbeing of freedom fighters (FFs) as their social responsibilities to heroic forces of the liberation war.He disclosed it while addressing the receptions to the valiant freedom fighters arranged at Engineers Institution in the port city today afternoon as chief guest .
CCC has rewarded 175 FFs this year . City Mayor handed over key of the home to FF Abdus Salam in the reception function. Mayor said the freedom fighters are the heroic sons of the Bangalee nation and the city corporation is giving receptions and honorarium to the freedom fighters and their family members. City Mayor in his deliberations said after his assumption asMayor, CCC has rewarded 150 FFs in each year for the first two years , 170 FFs in each year for two terms and 175 FFs In this year. Assistant High commissioner of India in Chattogram Mr. Shuvasish Sinha, Honourary Consul General of Russia Engr Ashik Imram and Acting President of city Awami league unit Mahtabuddin chowdhury were the special guests on the occasion.
