CCC Vitamin A Plus Campaign begins tomorrow

Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) completed the preparation of capsules for 5 lakh 30,000 children aged 6-59 months in the National Vitamin ‘A’ Plus Campaign.
Selim Akter Chowdhury ,Chief health officer of Chattogram City Corporation disclosed this in a press conference at Memon General Hospital Conference room yesterday.
 He said the purpose of this campaign is to maintain high levels of vitamin A capsule feeding, risk of infant mortality and blind implementation of vitamin A deficiency, and to implement other nutritional programmes.
Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin will inaugurate the campaign at T&T Colony School, North Agrabad Ward, at 8am on Saturday as Chief guest.
At this time, more than 20 traveling teams will eat vitamin A capsules of children floating on buses, trains, launch stations, city gate, Karnaphuli Shah Amanat bridge, Kalurghat bridge, oxygen More.
Last June 22, City Corporation administrated 78,599 Children aged 6-11 Month. Vitamin ‘A’ Plus campaign was administered aged 12-59 aged group near about 4,43,482vitamin ‘A’ capsules. which is 99 percent of the target.
City Ward Councilor Nazmul Haque Duke said that Vitamin A ‘Plus Campaign was launched in Chittagong every year in a festive atmosphere. Besides CCC, the shareholders of this success are the media and the citizens.
Among the present the Conference, Health officer Mohammad Ali, Memon Hospital in-charge Dr. Ashish Kumar Mukherjee, Dr Muizul Akbar Chowdhury, Dr Tapan Kumar Chakraborty, Consultant at CCC General Hospital. Sushanta Barua, Dr. Suman Talukder, Public Relations Officer. Rafiqul Islam and Education Health Officer Abdur Rahim.
Another report adds: The children will be fed Vitamin-A capsule through 288 centres under 41 wards. This was disclosed by the Chief Medical officer of CCC Dr. Selim Akhter chowdhury disclosed it at a press meet arranged at CCC General Hospital today . The press meet wastold that city mayor AJM Nasir Uddin will formally inaugurate the campaign on Saturday 9 am at Agrabad T&T Colony High School under North Agrabad Ward .
Besides, 20 mobile medical team of CCC will conduct Vitamin -A capsule campaign at bus terminal, railway station, launch station and Shah Amanat and Kalurghat Bridge point.
Among others health officer of CCC Mohammad Ali,Dr. Ashish Kumar, Dr. Muizul Akbar Chowdhury,Dr. Tapan Kumar,Dr. sushanta Barua,Dr. Summon Talukder, PRO RafiqulIslam, Health Education Officer Abdur Rahim were present in the press meeting .
