Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) will set up a 50-bed isolation center to render services to the victims as corona infections continue to increase due to the second wave of Covid-19.
City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury has announced the establishment of an isolation center at the CCC Library and Disaster Management Building on the south bank of the city’s Laldighi.
He said the official journey of the isolation center will start on April 6. Here the patients will get free medical treatment, medicine-oxygen support, food and all kinds of necessary medical services.
There will also be a round-the-clock ambulance service for patient transport and transfer.Chittagong City Corporation Health Department Physician. Doctors, nurses and health workers of CCC will be employed in this isolation center under the supervision of Sumon Talukder. In addition, if the condition of the infected patient becomes more complicated, special advice will be sought from a specialist and telemedicine services will be provided.
The mayor said that the isolation center would be provided with disinfectant equipment, including masks, hand sanitizers and soap, to ensure 100% health and safety of doctors, health workers and caregivers.
