CCC to implement vision of Digital Bangladesh : Nasir

Chittagong city mayor AJM Nasir Uddin said that Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) is working relentlessly to create skilled manpower to cope with global competition in the fields of information and communication technology.
“The CCC is one of the leading contributors to implement present government’s vision to build Digital Bangladesh”, the mayor commented this while addressing the 12th founding anniversary of CCC Computer Institute (CCCCI) at city’s GEC Convention Centre on Saturday afternoon.
Addressing the function as the chief guest, the mayor said since assumption of his office a total of 124 poor and meritorious students has been imparted training free of cost from the institute.
He said the CCCCI has so far imparted training to 12,000 students, 540 union parishad secretaries, 900 members of Chittagong Metropolitan Police and 120 school and college teachers since its inception in 2004.
Urging the students to receive training on computer from the institute, Mayor said Bangladesh Technical Education Board has recognized CCCCI as the second largest computer training institute and affiliated to run one-year Office Application course on computer.
CCC acting chief executive officer Mohammad Abul Hossain presided over the function while Chief Education Officer Nazia Shirin, CCC councillors Nazmul Hoque Duke, Tarek Solaiman Selim and Mohammad Gias Uddin and CCCCI director Anis Ahmmed, among others, addressed it.
