Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) will implement development works at a cost of Tk.600 crores this fiscal and the processing of tenders for Tk.100 crores is nearing completion .
City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin disclosed it at the coordinating meeting on CDA Master Plan-1995 at CCC Auditorium on Wednesday .
Among others, CDA Chairman Abdus Salam, CEO of CCC Kazi Shafiul Alam, Secretary Rashid Ahmed, CCC Secretary Tahera Ferdous, Executive Magistrate Nazia Shirin, and Private Secretary Manzoorul Islam spoke on the occasion.
City Mayor said , CCC has taken initiative to formulate 5-yr plan for the city to turn the city into a Smart city, mega city, clean and green city .
In the meantime, an organization of Netherlands has proposed to provide WiFi facilities , IP cameras, and LED combined pool in the city with interestless 10-yrs financial assistance . He also said with the finance of World Bank, Chittagong WASA is formulating sewerage master plan , CDA has taken drainage and development plans.
After implementing these proposed plans, the city will turn into a smart city in near future, he added. CDA chairman in his brief deliverations said development work of Tk.one lakh crores will be implemented in the port city as per reviewed Master Plan of 1995.
