Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) will build a ferry ghat at Rasmoni Snanghat area of South Kattali coast of Chittagong under Sitakkunda thana to facilitate the journey of the Sandwip people . City Mayor Manzoor Alam visited the proposed site of the ferry ghat on Saturday evening.
During his visit City Mayor said after construction of this proposed ferry ghat , the movement of the residents of Sandwip island with Chittagong city will be eased than earlier and the water transports through Sandwip channel will get more advantages . Corporation sources said following the demands of the Mahfuzur Rahman MP of Sandwip and Md.Didarul Alam MP of Sitakunda , Land ministry has allocated khas land in the proposed site for construction of ferry ghat. Chief Executive Officer of CCC Kazi Md. Shafiul Alam, Secretary Rashid Ahmed, Superintending Engineer Yakub Nabi, journalist Saleh Noman, Moshraf Hossain Liton accompanied the city mayor during his visit , sources said.
