CCC-run edu institutions to be modernised

The Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) authorities are taking a number of initiatives to modernise the educational institutions run by CCC with the aim of making them more time-befitting.
Their modernisation plans include making teachers more skilled through training, installing device to ensure students’ presence and providing them with healthcare services, enriching laboratories, opening websites at every institution, and turning conventional ID cards into smartcards.
CCC Chief Education Officer Nazia Shirin revealed the plans at a press conference held by the city corporation’s education department in its KB Abdus Sattar auditorium on Friday, marking one year completion of “Education, health, family planning and health safety standing committee” of CCC.
When reading out a written statement, Nazia said CCC was formulating a policy to for the department and institutions, adding that they would shortly appraised city residents of the policy.
The committee’s chairman Nazmul Huq Duke was present, among others
Six kindergartens, 47 secondary schools and 21 colleges are being run under CCC.
