CCC sources said that if the seaside part from Cement crossing from to Ruby Cement Factory via Butterfly Park was upgraded to four lanes, traffic congestion would increase and child-friendly tourism would increase.
In addition, construction of slaughter house will enable pedestrians to cross the road safely by building a foot-over bridge at environmental development and important places. According to a survey of CCC, IMED and various organizations, a proposal for this project has been made.
The length of the road in the proposed project is 3.71 km from Ruby Cement Factory to Drydock Limited, from Boat Club to Butterfly Park is 3.28 km. CCC will make four lanes around 7 km.
The Chattogram Port Authority will construct a six-lane 1.39 km section (including a container terminal under construction) from DryDock Limited to Boat Club. Land will be required for the expansion of the road, about 2 lakh 10 thousand 218 square feet.
