The Election Commission (EC) has announced the Chattogram City Corporation (CCC), Bogura-1 and Jashore-6 by-polls schedule.
The voting to Chattogram City Corporation, Bogura-1 and Jashore-6 by-polls will be held on March 29.
Election Commission Secretary Md Alamgir Hossain announced the election schedule on Sunday.
The Chattogram City Corporation polls will be held through Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and the by-polls to Bogura-1 and Jashore-6 through
traditional ballot papers. The last date for submission of nomination papers of the aspirants in the election is February 27, while the nomination papers will be scrutinised by the Commission officials on March 1, according to the announcement.
Appeals against the EC’s scrutiny have to be made between March 2-4, while decisions regarding the appeals will be made between March 5-7, it also read.
The last date for withdrawal of candidacy is March 8, while on March 9 the candidates will be allotted their election symbols, according to the EC announcement.
