Election Commissioner Abdul Mobarak disclosed that the next Chittagong City Corporation election is expected to be held in April or May next year .
He disclosed it while visiting the server station of Chittagong Election Commission office on Thursday.
He was talking with the journalists during his visit in Chittagong Election office. EC Mobarak Said the tenure of Chittagong City corporation election will expired in June next and the Holy Ramjan will be celebrated in this month and it is not possible to hold election in Ramjan.
So the desired election may be held either in April or May next. About voter list of the city, he said strict scrutiny will be maintained regarding any inclusion of Rohingyas in the voter list and Govt is very much cautious about the Rohingya issue.
He further disclosed that from very beginning of 2015, Pourashava election will be held in phases before the UP election.
Election commissioner participated a number of govt programs in Hathazari on Wednesday and then visited the server station on Thursday .
