Newly- elected Chittagong city Mayor AJM Nasiruddin did not receive honorarium for first 6 days of his assumption as Mayor since July 26 last.
Accounts officer of CCC Kazi Abu Taiyub told that Mayor refused to receive the remuneration for 6 days amounting to Tk.18,290 and asked him to donate this amount to any charitable organization.
Mentionable that In his last election pledge , AJM Nasiruddin declared not to receive the honorarium from the corporation if he is elected.
