Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury has taken corona vaccine yesterday. He was vaccinated at CCC General Hospital at 2.15 pm. At the time, Councilor Gias Uddin, Chief Health Officer Selim Akhter Chowdhury, Private Secretary to the Mayor Muhammad Abul Hashem and others were present.The mayor expressed his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for providing free corona vaccine to the people of the country.Recalling former Mayor late ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Mayor Rezaul said CCC once had a good reputation in the health sector.
This hospital is his visionary thought. When he was mayor, he bought a land for a hospital in the heart of the city for hundreds of crores of takas. . It was a privately owned place. As far as I know, there are 24 gandas of land.
If he wanted, he could take this place in his own name, in the name of his family. There was compassion for the people of Chittagong. . When a person returns satisfied with medical treatment, he receives that doa.
I want to assure you, we have limitations, we have shortcomings. Even then I can promise I will do whatever needs to be done for the health department. I would just humbly appeal, you will continue to play that glorious role which you had done in the past, holding that tradition. Health workers, doctors are working sincerely.
