Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin has kicked off the rooftop-garden campaign, through planting fruit-tree on the rooftop of Bangladesh Women School and College (BAWA) yesterday.
CCC mayor run the green-campaign, calling upon the city dwellers to plant more fruit-tree and vegetables on the rooftop and saying the green world can only combat the menace of climate change. In a discussion meeting held at BAWA School, CCC mayor said, firstly hundred educational institutions would come under the campaign by planting such trees and vegetables. He also said, rooftop garden not only contribute to climate change but to provide poison free vegetables and fruits.
