In observance of two years of taking charge as mayor and councilors of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) A J M Nasir Uddin, the CCC organized a citizen’s conference at Institute of Engineers (IEB) Chittagong Center on Monday morning.
The elite of the Chittagong advised the mayor to be more attached with people and form a vigilance team for getting actual information from the grass root level.
Editor of Daily Bir Chattagram Mancha Syed Omar Faruq said mayor Nasir is working hard. He is sincere to develop Chittagong. But, people are not getting the benefit of his hard work as the flatterers are misguiding him and giving him wrong information.
“As a result, the incumbent mayor cannot realize the actual needs of people due to wrong information that are providing by the opportunists.”
He requested the mayor to form a team to collect information about actual situation of people and later, continue the works for the people avoiding the beneficiaries.
Addressing the function, president of Chittagong Union of Journalists (CUJ) Reaz Hyder observed that mayor failed to realize the demands of the people of Chittagong.”
