The authority of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) installed LED lights in 1.25 kilometre of the city streets, stretching from Kazir Dewry intersection to Tigerpass intersection.
The lights were installed spending around Tk 50 lakh under a pilot project aiming to save energy and reduce electricity bills, said Mohammad Jabed, chairman of the CCC’s standing committee for water and electricity.
