At the end of the current fiscal , Chittagong City Corporation has been allocated Tk.50 cr for development work of the city .
Local govt Ministry released this fund on Thursday, a ccc sources said. Chief Executive officer of CCC Kazi Md. Safiul Alam confirmed the allocation of special fund to this corporation .
CCC sources said about Tk.117 cr lying due to contractors upto March last for undergoing the different development works in roads and city corporation school construction which stands at Tk.182 cr upto May last.
The contractors upheld their road development work lack of arrear bills and remained stopped the fresh tenderbidding due to fund shortage.CCC sources said the development work in city will be geared up if the contractors get atleast part payment of arrear bills from the special grant of the ministry.
