Chattogram Bureau :
Chittagong City Corporation has evicted more than 50 illegally built floating shops on roads and sidewalks from the surrounding areas including Kazir Deuri in the city.
The company seized bricks, sand and trucks occupying the sidewalks and roads at that time. CCC Deputy Chief Conservancy Officer Morshedul Alam Chowdhury led the operation on Sunday.
He said the drive continued from Chatteswari junction to Battery lane , Almas Cinema Hall and Kazir Dewri. Bricks and truckloads of sand were seized from the back corner of the circuit house. The seized 3,000 bricks and truckloads of sand have been deposited at Sagarika Yard in CCC.
