City Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury said the emergency services of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) will continue during the lockdown.
He said this while cleaning activities at Samadpurkhal and Lalkhal in Panchlaish as part of CCC’s crush program on Thursday.The mayor said that if the water flow in the canals and sewers in the parts of the city where the rains are congested, the problem of waterlogging will not be apparent. He urged everyone to abide by government directives in the lockdown.
CCC Executive Engineer Abu Siddique, Additional Chief Conservancy Officer Morshedul Alam Chowdhury, Pranab Sharma and Executive Engineer Touhidul Islam were present on the occasion, a CCC release.said.
