Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has demolished more than 100 illegal structures in a raid along the road of Mohammadnagar Housing Society under Bayazid Police Station.
On Sunday , CCC Special Magistrate and Joint District Judge Jahanara Ferdous and Executive Magistrate Marufa Akhter led the eviction operation.
According to CCC sources, during the mobile court operation, more than a hundred semi-pucca shops and illegal installations were evacuated from the drain with modern equipment including excavators.
Members of the Chattogram Metropolitan Police, 30 members of the Ansar Battalion and officials and employees of CCC assisted the mobile court operation. Under the direction of CCC Administrator Mohammad Khorshed Alam Sujan, a campaign was launched to keep the city’s roads, sidewalks, canals and canals free from illegal occupation to alleviate the suffering of the city dwellers.
Illegal occupants are given time to move.
CCC is evicting illegal establishments on the instructions of the administrator in the public interest. Such campaigns will continue, sources said
