Traders who have brought sacrificial animals are waiting for last moment’s sale.
The city residents have not started to buy though the Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on Saturday-just two days after.
“We are hopeful about big sale in last days,” said Abul Bashar, a cattle trader of Dhupkhola East End Club on Wednesday.
He said, “I have brought 43 bulls from my farm in Jhenaidah. Each of the bulls price will be Tk three to six lakh.
He said, the city people are coming everyday and asking about the prices of bulls. But few of them are buying now.

He said that he came from Pabna district, but most of the
cows have been brought from Jhenaidah, Kushtia and Meherpur, the traders said.
They are demanding Tk one lakh to two lakh for a midiam size cow.
“We think that the buyers are delaying due to want of grasses and fodder in view of the recent flood across the country,” said Abul Bashar.
“We come every year to sell sacrificial animals in the city. A good number of the city dwellers usually buy cows five to four days before the Eid-ul-Azha. But this year the picture is different.” he said.
