UNB, Satkhira:
Muggers took away Tk 4 lakh from a cattle
trader after stabbing him at Badamtala intersection on the
Bhomra-Satkhira road of the district on Tuesday night.
The injured was identified as Saju, 35, son of Abdus Samad of Boikari village in Sadar upazila.
Police said a gang of muggers intercepted Saju’s motorcycle and tried to snatch away money from him while he along with his relative Monirul Islam was going to Satkhira at about 8:00 pm.
At one stage, the muggers snatched a bag containing Tk4 lakh.
They also stabbed Saju as he tried to resist.
Hearing Saju’s screams, locals rescued him and rushed him to Satkhira Sadar Hospital.
