Cattle, houses burnt to ashes in Bijoynagar

A fire broke out in a house in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria and burnt down the house with cattle.
A fire broke out in the house of a van driver named Nazrul Mia (32), son of Mohammad Askar Mia of Islampur village (south-Khalapara) of Budhanti union of the upazila on Saturday at around 11 am. Later, the fire was brought under control with the help of hundreds of people.
By the time all the furniture of the house and cattle were burnt to death.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (Sonof freedom Fighter) Yasser Arafat, on hearing the news of the fire, arranged for humanitarian assistance.
Kanchan Kumar Singh, in-charge of Islampur outpost, said, “I have heard the news of a fire due to an electrical fault, but no one has complained about it.”
