Dr. Akram Hossain Chowdhury, Chairman, Barind Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA) inaugurated the planting of cashew nut saplings through video conference at Bindhara in Panchbibi Upazila of Joypurhat on Thursday.
BMDA District Executive Engineer Al-Mamunur Rashid, Deputy Assistant Engineers Mostaq Ahmed and Manjurul Islam and Local UP Chairman Habibur Rahman were present on the occasion. Executive Engineer Rashid said 50 cashew seedlings were planted on the 30-acre land of college teacher and former chairman Rafiqul Islam Shahin Chowdhury to plant BMDA cashew nuts.
