A case has been filed over the killing of a school teacher in Noakhali by strikers during the 20-Party Alliance’s shutdown on Monday.
Five men have been arrested till Tuesday over Shamsunnahar Jhorna’s death. Police named the BNP’s Noakhali Sadar Upazila unit general secretary and district unit Juba Dal chief Mahbub Alamgir Alo, and 48 others in the case. Jhorna, who taught at
Dhaka’s Tawhid Laboratory School, died after being hit by a stone thrown by strikers.
