Police raided different areas to round up the killers of a Chittagong University student but couldn’t detain any of the suspected.
Meanwhile, the police said, they could trace why CU Bangla department student Alauddin Alaol was killed but for investigation and rounding up the criminals they couldn’t provide it to the journalists .
Notable, a case was filed with the Baizid Bostamy Thana on Thursday night, in the sensational murder case. Alauddin’s father Shah Alam filed a murder case with unnamed persons.
Mohammad Mohsin, Officer-in-charge of Baizid Bostamy Thana said, a case has been filed here. We are forwarding considering a few suspicions but for the interest of investigation we couldn’t disseminate any information right now.
He also said, the law-enforcers already conducting high raids to round up the killers.
Earlier, the body of Alaol was recovered from a flat in the port city’s Bayezid area hours after he and three others rented it on Wednesday.
His body was found lying face down inside a bathroom with the limbs bound, the hands behind his back and ropes around his neck, police sources said.
Alauddin left home on Wednesday afternoon, telling his father that he was going to meet a college friend around 5:00pm but couldn’t get back, screamingly Shah Alam said to the journos in CMCH.
“His mother found his cell phone switched off some time after 9:00pm after then they tried to found him but could not. At last the police on Thursday informed them of the recovery,” he said.
Quoting the caretaker of the four-stored house, locating at Syed Para Sahid Nagar, adjacent to Baizid Bostamy Thana police said, four youths, including the victim and a female, rented the flat around 5:30pm and paid some rent in advance. They also requested the caretaker to reside here from the day and the caretaker provided the key and lock of the room.
Then the four entering into the room but three left the room around 8:00pm saying the caretaker that they were going shopping and that the victim was cleaning the flat.
The caretaker found the flat’s front door wide open around 11:00pm and saw the body.
