A case was filed against some unnamed people on Friday morning over the recovery of the throat-slit bodies of a woman and her three children at Abadar in Sreepur upazila here on Thursday.
The deceased woman’s father-in-law Abul Hossain filed a case with Sreepur Police Station against unidentified criminals on Friday morning, said officer-in-charge MD Liyakat Ali.
Police will arrest the
criminals soon after investigation, the OC said adding that several investigation teams are working to dig out the mystery behind the incident.
Shamsunnahar, superintendent of Gazipur police, said the criminals raped the woman and her two daughters before killing them by slitting throats.
Earlier, on Thursday, police recovered the throat-slit bodies of Fatema, wife of expatriate Kajal Mia, their mentally-retarded son Fahin, 7, and two daughters-Nura, a tenth grader, and Hawarin, a seventh grader.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rasel Sheikh said the children’s uncle spotted the bodies and informed police.
