A case was filed over the killing of Nasim Ahmed, a BBA student of Manarat International University in the city on Monday.
Kazi Wazed Ali, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station, said victim’s father Ali Ahmed Saifuddin filed a murder case accusing Abdul Rashid, Ramzan, Asif and some other unidentified people on Monday night.
Earlier in the day, a group of miscreants
numbering 10-12 stabbed Nasim in front of their house, leaving critically injured.
Later, the injured was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead around 10:45 am.
The victim’s father Saifuddin said that there had been an altercation between Nasim and a local boy Ramzan on Sunday over a cricket match.
At one stage, Nasim slapped Ramzan which triggered a clash.
