A case was yesterday filed against 12 people including late president HM Ershad’s divorced wife Bidisha Siddik and son Shahata Jarab Ershad Erik on charge of occupying late Ershad’s residential house ‘President Park’ in the city’s Baridhara area.

Nahar Shumi lodged the case with the court of Dhaka’s First Joint District Judge Kazi Mushfiq Mahbub Rabin. However, the court is expected to give its order later.
Those who have been made indirect defendants in the case are: Home Ministry Secretary, Ins-pector General of Police (IGP), Additional IGP, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Deputy Police Commi-ssioner, Special Branch’s Immigration Police Super and Gulshan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC).
