Ministry of Liberation War Affairs filed a case against a fake freedom fighter of Ranisankail upazilla of Thakurgaon district on Monday.
Md Hafiz Uddin, son of late Darshan Ali of village Chapra under Ranisankail upazilla of Thakurgaon district submitted his freedom fighter certificate M-202299 dated May 21, 2015, and certificate number 54188, dated May 24, 2001, countersigned by the Prime Minister to the ministry for gazette ratification.
But after scrutinizing the two certificates on Monday, the ministry found those forged and decided to lodge case.
Mehnaj Tabassum, administrative officer of the ministry filed the case with Shabagh Police Station.
