Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Career Club organized a three-day BUP Carrier and Education Fest-2018 ended on Saturday.
The career fair was inaugurated by Major General MD Emdad-Ul-Bari, ndc, psc, te, Vice Chancellor, BUP as chief guest, special guest Hussain Mohammed Elius, CEO, Pathao, along with Michael Foley, CEO, Grameenphone. A total of 27 companies participated in the fair.
The event came to an end on 15 September 2018 with an award distribution ceremony to company executives.
The chief guest Major General Emdad-Ul-Bari, ndc, psc, te, Vice Chancellor, BUP; special guest Prof. M Abul Kashem Mozumder, PhD along with BUP high officials, officers, faculties, BUP alumni, club members and company executives came together to enjoy a cultural show organized by BUP Career Club.
The Vice Chancellor mentioned in his closing speech that, BUP still has a long way to go in filling the need for white-collar jobs in the current economy.
He thanked the participating companies for their keen interest in employing fresh graduates from BUP. He also said that BUP will produce a significant number of capable candidates for all career fields by the next decade.
