Cardiff International School’s annual sports festival held

The annual sports festival and prize-giving ceremony of Cardiff International School Dhaka (CISD) were held at Mohammadpur Physical College in the capital on Saturday.
Principal Head of School G.M. Nizam Uddin presided over the inaugural function.
Former captains of Bangladesh National Cricket Team Habibul Bashar Sumon and Khaled Mashud Pilot, ex-skippers of Bangladesh Football Team Alfaz Ahmed and Aminul Haque, first Bangladeshi Everest conquer Musa Ibrahim, tennis star and Guinness world record holder Jobera Rahman Linu, former cricketer Javed Omar Belim Golla renowned actors Ilias Kanchan and Amin Khan and singer Asif Akber were also present at the function.
The students and the members of the Scouts demonstrated their skills in a march-past followed by a wonderful display.
The guests present at the function expressed their satisfaction over the total performance of budding athletes of CISD saying that if the same tempo continued and if other English medium schools would do the same, Bangladesh would certainly turn into a Digital Bangladesh before long.
Teachers and guardians of the students also participated in many disciplines. The events include different types of games and sports for students, parents and teachers.
Principal G.M.Nizam Uddin and Sports Ambassador of the School Aminul Haque informed that they would launch a full- fledged Cardiff Sports Academy very soon.
Chairman of the School SM Emdadul Islam, Vice Chairman Prof Dr. Yearul Kabir and Director Anwar Hossain Chowdhury were also present on the occasion.
