Locals organised a large scale car rally displaying banners and festoons focusing incumbent government’s development activities at Gafargaon on Wednesday.
The rally led by vice-chairman of central committee of Muktijuddha Sanghati Parishad and Awami League leader Major (Rtd) Rezaul Karim marched on various streets of the Upazila.
The rally saw a huge number of cars started from Muktijuddha intersection of CharAlgi Union of the upazila. The rally marched through Langair, Usthi, Datterbazar, Neguari, Tangabo, Panchabag, Joshora, Mashakhali, and Rawna Unions. At the rally, speakers urged people of the locality to caste their votes for Nouka (Boat symbol) to continue the development of the government. Among others, Freedom Fighters Mufazzal Hussain, Fazlul Haque, Saiful Islam Member and Anwar Hussain Bhulu and president of Former Sainik Sangstha Sohelur Rahman Ripon spoke at the rally.
