A private car caught fire at Tiger-pass crossing after its gas cylinder exploded.
However, no casualty was reported in the accident.
Jasim Uddin, Deputy Director of local Fire Service and Civil Defense, said the private car went up in flames as its gas cylinder exploded at 7 pm.
On information, a firefighting unit from Agrabad rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze.
The FSCD estimate a financial loss of around Tk 5 lac from the incident, almost all of it the depreciated value of the car.
