The body of Biman Bangladesh Airlines pilot Captain Nawshad Ataul Qayyum may reach Dhaka on Thursday morning, if necessary formalities are completed in time.
Captain Nawshad passed away yesterday at Kingsway Hospitals in the Indian state of Maharashtra after fighting for life for four days as he was in “coma” in the hospital following a brain hemorrhage. His body is now at the hospital mortuary.
Highly placed sources familiar with the developments told BSS here today that they, in support of Bangladesh mission in New Delhi, are engaged in completing all official formalities to take the body to Bangladesh soon.
The mission has already sent one of its officers to Nagpur to facilitate the process. The body would be handed over to Bangladesh authority after autopsy, they added.
