Centre for Human Rights and Social Development (CHRSD) demanded capital punishment to the killers of 13-year old boy Rajon who was tortured to death mercilessly at Kumargaon in Sylhet on July 8.
The demand came from a human chain held recently in front of Jatiya Press Club. CHRSD Chairman Syed Afzal Baker, legal adviser of CHRSD Advocate Hafizur Rahman Khan, Maolana Abdul Halim Siraji among others, spoke on the occasion.
Demanding immediate arrest of the killers and their capital punishment Syed Afzal Baker said “We don’t have any word left to denounce this killing as the brutality of the killing has beat the medieval barbarism.”
Advocate Hafizur Rahman Khan said “Our future generation won’t forgive us and people will lose faith on rule of law if the state fails to bring the killers to justice.”
