In Gafargaon, Mymensingh, a drug dealer was trying to cultivate cannabis in his backyard to raise cash overnight. After receiving the information, the police conducted a raid and seized cannabis from Charkamaria Bhatipara village in the border area of Charalgi Union in the upazila around 2.30 pm on Saturday and arrested the cannabis trader.
The arrested drug dealer Aminul Islam (24) is the son of Abul Hashem of the area.
Gafargaon Police Station OC Anukul Sarkar said Aminul Islam, a drug dealer from Charkamaria Bhati Para village, had planted a cannabis garden in the yard of his house with a fence around the bathroom. But he told the people of the area that vegetables have been cultivated.
