Canal rescued in Bijoynagar

Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Mahbubur Rahman conducted a raid in Shashai village of Budhanti union in Bijoynagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.
On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, and rescued the canal.
It is known that Nur Islam, the son of Lal Khan Miah, an influential person of the same village, blocked the government canal with soil for a long time and caused waterlogging, which prevented the locals from producing crops on 40 bighas of land.
For a long time, Mr. Sardar of the area did not work in arbitrating the mass trial. Later, they applied to the chairman and there was no benefit. They were helpless and applied to the upazila and deputy commissioner on behalf of the locals.
The villagers demanded compensation from the Upazila Land Officer and Executive Magistrate Md Mahbubur Rahman as the crop production was disrupted on about 40 bighas of land in the area.
Members of Islampur police outpost assisted in maintaining law and order in the rescue operation.
The Upazila Land Surveyor, Union Land Officer, current member Mohammad Soleman Mia and other dignitaries of the area were present during the rescue operation. And demanded compensation for crop disruption for a year.
