Campaign for crops production of the char farmers has been continuing in Fulchhari char of the district for the last few years to inspire them to farm different varieties of crops and vegetables.
The objective of the campaign is to help the char dwellers earn economic profit against the produces for changing their lots gradually and to achieve the country’s food security as well.
Upazila agriculture office arranged the campaign of on-going agriculture problems and its resolve at Gozaria Char of the upazila recently in cooperation with enterprise development programme under the project of REE-CALL being implemented by SKS Foundation with the financial support of Oxfam-GB.
Deputy Director (DD) of department of agriculture extension (DAE) Mir Abdur Razzak addressed the ceremony as the chief guest and upazila pariashad chairman M Habibur Rahman was present as the special guest.
In the campaign, the farmers made questions and upheld their on-going problems regarding agri-crops and vegetable like maize, chili, brinjal, bottle gourd, pumpkin, papaw, onion, garlic mustard, potato, and tomato to save the varieties from the diseases.
