Women's College Rugby: Cambrian face Dhaka Commerce in opener today

Cambrian School & College will face Dhaka Commerce College in the opening match of the Swiss Bakery Women’s College Rugby Competition at the Government Physical Education College in Mohammadpur today. The match kicks-off at 10.15 am.
Barrister Anisuzzaman will formally open the rugby tournament as the chief guest.
Bangladesh Rugby Federation has arranged the rugby competition while Swiss Bakery is the sponsor of the meet.
A total of nine teams splitting into three groups are taking part in the first phase of the rugby meet. Eden Women’s College, Home Economics College, Adamjee Cantonment College are in Group A, Central Women’s College, Holy Cross College, Narayanganj College are in Group B, Kabi Nazrul Government College, Cambrian School & College, Dhaka Commerce College are in Group C.
Marking the ensuing rugby competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday. General Secretary of Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF) Mousum Ali, Joint-Secretary of BRF Sayeed Ahmed, Managing Director of Swiss Bakery Ulfath Quader and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Parvin Putul were present at the conference.
The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Tk 2,00,000 lakh while Swiss Bakery has given Tk 1,50,000 to BRF and BRF will bear rest of the expenditure from its own fund.
