Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Saturday urged the historians to write true history of the country’s War of Liberation to preserve the truth.
“Historians will have to work hard to unveil the unknown incidents of our Liberation War,” he was addressing the 45th annual seminar of Bangladesh Itihas Parishad(BIP) at the Senate Bhaban of the university.
President of the BIP National Prof Sufia Ahmed presided over the function while General Secretary Prof Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan delivered welcome address.
Prof Arefin called upon all to take lesson from the history to make themselves wise and sensitive human being.
A total of 150 teachers, researchers and historians from various universities and research organizations, including Dhaka University, participated in the seminar.
