United Religions Initiative Bangladesh with Vidyasagar Society CC, Inter Religion Harmony Society CC, St. Agnes Social Development Organization CC, Global Peace Tourism CC, Dishari Bangladesh CC, Satsang Research Center CC, Science Poetry CC, Deeplaid Religion Society CC, Eibela Dot Com CC, Arunima Literary Club CC, Bangladesh Minority Board CC, Asrom CC, Initiative for Solidarity CC, Spark of Light CC and Love and Peace CC organised a discussion meeting on ‘Bangabandhu’s contribution to Inter Religion Harmony and Peace’ at Dhaka University Lecture Theatre Bhaban Auditorium on Monday , says a press release.
Presided over by freedom fighter and Chairman Inter Religion Harmony Society CC Mian Muzibur Rahman the meeting was graced by Adv AKM Mozammel Haque, M.P, Liberation War Affairs Minister as Chief Guest, Adv. Shamsul Haque, M.P, former State Minister for Home Affairs, Supernumerary Prof. Dr. Narayan Chandra Biswas, Prof. Dr. Kajal Krisna Banerjee, Dept. of English, Dr. Father Tapan Camillus De Rozario, Chairman, World Religion & Culture, University of Dhaka as special guest. Monoranjan Ghosal, Secretary General, Inter Religion Harmony Society CC gave the welcome address while the meeting was moderated by Prof Dr Mohammad Abdul Hye, Coordinator Vidyasagar Society CC.
 The speakers urged that irrespective of beliefs and faiths to uphold the country’s inter religion harmony and peace which was the dream of our Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is now practiced by United Religions Initiatives .
 The speakers also mentioned that URI is still unknown to both government and private level in Bangladesh. They also mentioned that the dream of our father of the nation and the activities of the URI are same. This is the first time that government body is informed through this program about URI. The speakers conveyed thanks to The Rt. Rev. William E. Swing, founder president of URI for upholding the spirit of interfaith harmony internationally.
