Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said the Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centre will turn the young generation into skilled human resources by developing information-technology (IT) based education.
“The main tool of development in the present age is information and communication technology based education. The development will continue through setting up of the Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centre digital lab in every school,” she said.
She said this while speaking virtually on laying the foundation stone for constructing the Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Centre, organized on Thursday by Information and Communication Technology(ICT) Division at Pirganj Upazila Parishad auditorium in Pirganj Upazila of Rangpur district as the chief guest.
The Speaker said that due to the efficient and timely steps taken by Prime Minister’s ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy, everyone is able to enjoy the benefits of Digital Bangladesh today.
Everyone has realized the benefits of Digital Bangladesh during the corona crisis, she added.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak addressed the function as the special guest with Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Md Asib Ahsan in the chair.
Managing Director (Secretary) of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Hosne Ara Begum, Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md Abdul Wahab Bhuiyan, Rangpur District Superintendent of Police Biplob Kumar Sarkar, Rangpur District Awami League President Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and Rangpur District Awami League General Secretary Rezaul Karim Raju were present, among others, on the occasion.
