The Youth Development Subcommittee under UNFPA-financed Strengthening Parliament’s Capacity in Integrating Population
Issues into Development (SPCPD) recommended taking necessary initiatives to turn youth forces into human resources.
The recommendation was made on Sunday at a meeting of the subcommittee held at the Jatiya Sangsad with its convener Sanjida Khanam, MP, presiding. M Fakhrul
Imam, MP, and Begum Shirin Akhtar, MP, attended the meeting, said an official release.
The meeting suggested preparing a list of the countries, which has been successful in demographic dividend alongside including the name of unsuccessful countries.
It also recommended holding of a meeting with the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Labour and Employment Ministry aiming to create job opportunities for youths in different labour receiving countries.
