Speakers at a discussion have underscored the need for transforming the youths into competent human resources for building a happy and prosperous Bangladesh.
The discussion was held at Deputy Commissioner conference room in Narsingdi recently with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Kamal Kumar Ghosh in the chair, organized by Department of Youth Development (DYD) on the occasion of Bangabandhu National Youth Day-2020.
Deputy Director, Department of Youth Development (DYD) of Narsingdi Mohammad Amir Ali delivered the welcome speech.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the district Syeda Farhana Kawnine addressed the function as the chief guest.
She urged all concerned to take necessary measures to develop the youths of the country as worthy citizens having education, human values, and patriotism.
Farhana also said the aim of the present government is to build up the youth-folks of the country in line with the ideals of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Deputy Director, Department of Agriculture Extension Shovan Kumar Dhar addressed the function as special guest.
Youth Development officer of Sadar upazila Nur Nahar Begum and two NGO executive Jakir Hossain and Jahangir Hossain addressed, among others, in the discussion.
Later, the chief guest distributed cheques of Taka 65 lakh among 56 male and female youths of the district as loan and also distributed prizes and certificates among the trained youths on the occasion.
