Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism and president of Bangladesher Workers Party Rashed Khan Menon on Friday said all should make people aware of the danger of fundamentalism and imperialism and fight against it.
“In Asia we have common experience of facing imperialism and fundamentalism,” he said seeking regional cooperation to resolve the issue.
The Minister was speaking at an international seminar on combating Fundamentalism and Imperialism in South Asia organised by Bangladesher Workers Party marking comrade Amal Sen’s birth centenary.
Among others, comrade Sitaram Yechury, general secretary communist party of India, Comrade Sudakar Reddy, Communist party India, Comrade Imdad Quazi, general secretary Pakistlan communist party, Comrade Nalinda Jaytissa JVP Srilanka and workers party general secretary Fazle Hossain Badsha MP addressed in the seminar. Menon said sharing experience through this type of seminar would help to draw up the strategy of own country as well as fight for the common thought.
