Dhaka City Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Relief and Disaster Management Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya called for resisting the trouble-mongers.
“It is time to give reply to the creators of anarchy. No more silence-we want to see the strength of the anti-liberation forces,” he said this on Thursday while speaking as chief guest at a discussion meeting organized by Joy Bangla Muktijoddha League at AL central office in the city to protest Tarique Rahman’s comments on Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
“We want to give a befitting reply to the anti-liberation forces in exchange of blood in the month of victory,” Maya said. Presided over by Joy Bangla Muktijoddha League President Nizamuddin Talukder, the meeting was also addressed by City AL Publication and Publicity Secretary Abdul Haq Sabuj and freedom fighter Abdur Rashid. Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya said Dhaka will remain under the control of the activists of Sheikh Hasina in January.
Nobody would be allowed to occupy Dhaka city on January 5, the AL leader said, adding that Dhaka is the city of freedom fighters and peace-loving people and there is no room for the Al-Badr and Razakars here.
Maya alleged that BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and her son hatched conspiracies again and again to kill Sheikh Hasina. They are still conspiring, he added. He said Begum Zia is instigating her son instead of preventing him for making false statements.
