Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif said the country needs to remain alert against the activities of anti- liberation forces including BNP.
“People of the country need to be alert so that anti- liberation forces – Jamaat-shibir and BNP, would not grab the state power…we have to go ahead turning our mourning into strength under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said.
He said this on Saturday while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion marking the National Mourning Day at Dhaka Reporters’ Unity auditorium .
Sharif said, “We have to remain united to make ‘Sonar Bangla’.” Sheikh Russel Memorial Samajkalyan Sangstha (SRMSS) arranged the programme with its president Sheikh Siddique in the chair.
Awami League Presidium member Satish Chandra Rai, General Secretary of the organization Atikur Rahman also spoke on the occasion. Later, the minister gave crests to former Chhatra league leader Shafikul Alam and Munshiganj SRMSS Vice President Mozammel Huq Sentu.
