Urging the children to take lessons by reading the books of Bangabandhu, State Minister for Information Advocate Tarana Halim said the two books- Oshomapto Attojiboni and Karagarer Rojnamcha-would play a role in making a happy and prosperous ‘Sonar Bangla’.
“I’m urging all of you to read the two books and the speeches of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. I believe that the lessons from his books and speeches would play a role in making the ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Bangabandhu,” she said this on Friday while speaking at a prize distribution ceremony at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU).
DRU organized the function ‘Shishu-Kishore Sangskritik Utsab-2018’ with its President Saiful Islam in the chair.
Eminent cultural personalities Nasir Uddin Yousuf Bacchu inaugurated the function. DRU General Secretary Syed Shukkur Ali Shuva, Convenor of the programme Mizan Chowdhury and Member Secretary Jannatul Ferdowsi Panna, among others, addressed the programme.
Tarana urged the children to know the real history and heritage of Bangladesh and to practice those.
Later, the state minister handed over prizes among the winners.
