The National Public Service Day was observed in Kishoreganj on Monday in a befitting manner with a call to provide department services to the people through innovative ideas without any hassle.
Kishoreganj District Administration organised a Mela, , milking and discussion meeting on ‘Accelerating Public Service Innovation for Agenda- 2030’ at Local Art Council Hall on Monday morning with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) & D.S Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil in the chair. Zila Parished Chairman Advocate Md. Zillur Rahman attended as Chief Guest.
It was addressed among others by Additional Police Super Masud Anowar, Deputy Director of Agriculture Md. Shafiqul Islam, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman, Sadar UNO Abdullah Al-Masud, DEO Md. Mustafizur Rahman, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, Social Service Deputy Director Md. Kamruzzaman, Freedom Fighter Ex. Unit Commander Md. Asad Ullah, Islamic Foundation Deputy Director Md. Faruq Ahmed, Kishoreganj Govt. Boys’ High Schoo Head Master A.K.M Abdullah and CAB Secretary Monour Hossain Rony.
Zila Parished Chairman Advocate Zillur Rahman said that the government has taken various measures for building a people oriented civil service. An efficient, effective, economic and time befitting administrative system is the key to sustainable development.
CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito said , the government announced Vision 2021 and Vision 2041 to make Bangladesh a technology-based, modern and development country.
BSS from Rangpur adds: Government officials at a post-rally discussion yesterday laid emphasis on reaching public services easily to the common people by utilising the opportunities of ICT to bring a meaningful change in their life.
They said this in the discussion cum function for presentation of number of innovative initiatives organised by the district administration at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner in observance of the National Public Service Day-2018.
Earlier, Divisional Director (Local Government) Md Zakir Hossain led a rally on the streets with participation of the divisional and district level government officials, public representatives, civil society members, political leaders and local elite.
Acting Deputy Commissioner Ruhul Amin Mian attended the discussion cum presentation function held at Deputy Commissioner’s conference room as the chief guest with Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rabiul Islam in the chair.
Civil Surgeon Dr Abu Md Zakirul Islam, Senior District Information Officer Humayun Kobir, Executive Engineer of LGED Akhter Hossain, Principal of Rangpur Technical Training Centre Engineer Lutfar Rahman and Additional . Police Super Fazle Elahi, among others, addressed.
The speakers said the public servants should make government services available to the people’s doorsteps in a hassle-free manner for building a middle income Bangladesh by materialising the Vision-2021 on way to build a developed country by 2041.
Humayun Kobir discussed the goals of Vision-2021 and digitisation programme those have already brought about a social renaissance accelerating development in building a hunger-free middle income digital Bangladesh by 2021.
“Different government departments, organisations and offices are using their innovations in reaching government services to people utilising digitised ICT facilities successfully accelerating the process of building a digital Bangladesh,” he said.
The chief guest directed the public servants for building welfare-oriented management to reach government services to the people’s doorsteps using ICT services as effective tools for combating corruption from government organisations and offices.
“The main objective of digital Bangladesh is to reach government services to the common people in a hassle-free manner by taking advantages of ICT facilities to change their lots and accelerate the pace of national development,” he said.
